Last updated: 7 November 2026
The short version
- Photos, videos, contacts and files are analysed on your device. They are never uploaded.
- There is no account, no advertising, no analytics or tracking code and no third-party SDK in the apps.
- Apple handles purchases. We never see your payment details.
- This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties.
Our answer to Apple's App Privacy question "Do you or your third-party partners collect data from this app?" is no. The label reads Data Not Collected.
Who is responsible
The publisher is the developer named on the app's App Store page. For privacy questions write to support@docager.com.
What the apps can access, and why
iPhone and iPad: Photos
With your permission, Ozoda reads your photo library through Apple's Photos framework to find duplicates, similar and low-quality photos, large videos, screenshots and screen recordings. It works with full access or with the photos you select. The analysis, including Apple's Vision framework for similar photos, runs on the device. Nothing is removed until you confirm in the system dialog, and removed items move to Recently Deleted. When you ask for a smaller or cleaned copy, such as a compressed video, a copy without metadata or a redacted screenshot, Ozoda saves that copy to your library. If the original of a photo or video is stored only in iCloud, the system may download it to your device when Ozoda shows or opens it; Ozoda uploads nothing.
iPhone and iPad: Contacts
Ozoda asks to read your contacts only when you choose to allow it: from the duplicate contacts tool, from the scan results or in Settings. It reads them so it can find duplicates. It reads names, phone numbers, email addresses and similar fields on the device. Contacts change only after you confirm a merge.
Mac: folders you choose
Ozoda runs in Apple's App Sandbox and can open only the folders you choose in the standard open panel. It keeps a saved reference to each folder (a security-scoped bookmark) on your Mac so you do not have to choose again. It reads the names, sizes and dates of items in those folders, and reads a file's contents only to confirm that two files are identical. Ozoda does not ask for Full Disk Access.
Storage and device numbers
Ozoda reads free and total storage and, in its device health view, values such as battery state, Low Power Mode and thermal state. These stay on the device.
Notifications and background work
If you turn on storage alerts or a weekly report, Ozoda schedules local notifications on your device. They do not use a push server. If you turn on scheduled scans, the system may run short background checks when it decides to. You can switch all of this off in Ozoda's Settings or in the system Settings.
History on your device
Ozoda keeps a local history of cleanups (dates and amounts) and storage readings for its trend chart, including the total space you have freed. It stays on the device. It is not sent anywhere and is not synced through iCloud.
Purchases
Pro is bought and managed through the App Store with Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the payment and gives us no payment details. The app checks your purchase status with Apple, and we receive no names or email addresses from that. App Store Connect gives us aggregated sales and subscription reports. If you have chosen to share app analytics with developers on your device, Apple may also give us aggregated, anonymous figures such as downloads and crashes. Apple's own privacy policy covers its part.
What we do not do
- We do not collect personal data from the apps, and we run no server that receives it.
- We do not use analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or attribution SDKs, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not sell or share personal data.
- We do not use your photos or contacts for marketing or data mining.
This website
The website is made of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no fonts, scripts or images from other sites. The hosting server may keep ordinary access logs (IP address, time, requested page and browser type) for a short period, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use them to identify visitors.
When you write to us
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it to answer you, and we keep it as long as we need it to handle your request and any follow-up, then delete it. Please do not attach photos, contacts or files.
Children
Ozoda is a utility and is not aimed at children. We collect no personal data from anyone, including children. Photos on a child's device stay on that device. Purchases follow the restrictions set on the child's Apple Account.
Your rights
The apps collect no personal data, so there is nothing in them for us to look up, correct or delete. For emails you send us, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and you can object to how we use your data, under the laws that apply to you, including the GDPR, the UK GDPR and California privacy law. Write to support@docager.com. You may also complain to your data protection authority. Our legal basis for handling support emails is our legitimate interest in answering you (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), or performing our contract with you if you subscribe.
Security
Keeping the analysis on the device is the main protection: no copy of your data sits on a server. Ozoda uses Apple's sandbox and permission system, and asks for access only when you open the tool that needs it. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not promise otherwise.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the apps handle data, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect. If a change affects what you agreed to, we will ask you again.
